According to reports provided by DPS, a 2006 Chevy Silverado carrying three teenagers, identified as one 16-year-old female and two 17-year-old males, was heading northbound on Highway 359. As the vehicle proceeded in the direction towards Skidmore Tynan, it collided with a 2021 Nissan Rogue head-on.
The force of the collision caused the Nissan to go off the roadway. The Silverado entered the northbound lane and went off the side of the road before coming to rest in a grassy area. All three people in the Silverado and the driver of the Nissan Rogue, identified as 21-year-old Jason Mikhail Balsom, were all pronounced deceased on site as a result of their injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are ongoing.
