The crash occurred at around 9:40 p.m. on October 21.
According to local news sources, a vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way when traveling through the intersection of Ray Ellison Boulevard and Five Palms Drive during the evening hours. As a result, the vehicle collided with a police cruiser on the southwest side of the city.
A woman and a young girl both suffered injuries due to the crash. The two victims and the police officer were all transported to area hospitals for emergency care.
